Law enforcement personnel have always had a challenge with hearing radio traffic. Whether directing traffic or conducting a foot pursuit, they must have the ability to communicate. Most officers in the United Sates are issued a large shoulder microphone along with the portable radio. By positioning the microphone on their shoulder, it allows them to hear better, but everyone else can hear the conversation as well . Our "Sleuth" listen only earpiece is the product of choice. The earpiece plugs directly into the should microphone, thereby diverting the audio to the officer only. They will continue to use the shoulder microphone as a standard issue item.
